Crime Victim Services Commission Technical Assistance Project
Funding Source: The Crime Victim Services Commission
Project Period: October 1, 1999 to present
Project Coordinator: Mary Zack Thompson, MBA
The Crime Victim Services Commission (CVSC) administers federal Victims of Crime Act (VOCA) funding to over 90 Michigan agencies, which are deemed VOCA Subgrantees. These agencies offer and provide vital local services to victims of violent crime throughout the state. In this ongoing project, MPHI-CDMTR facilitates the informational exchange between the grantees and the CVSC via meetings, a website, and newsletter. In addition, MPHI-CDMTR facilitates program evaluation training that is offered during the course of the year to these local agencies. The assistance provided by MPHI helps to ensure that the CVSC remains in compliance with federal assurances under the Victims of Crime Act.
